The Technician Career Development Program at Serra Honda Grandville is designed to launch new automotive service professionals into successful careers as dealership-certified technicians. The program is an opportunity for individuals age 18+ within our community and beyond to be competitively employed while gaining valuable, hands-on experience and education from West Michigan's Service Destination - Serra Honda Grandville!
 
After a minimum of 6 months of acceptable, continuous employment, a Team Member would be eligible to apply for acceptance into the Serra Honda Grandville Technician Career Development Program. 
 
Upon acceptance into the program, Serra Honda will provide up to $1,750 for the purchase of a box and tools. 
  • Based on a list developed and maintained by the dealership. 
  • At the completion of the program, ownership of this box and tools will be transferred to the candidate.
 
Tuition reimbursement will be based on the following table and will not exceed $3,500 in any 12-month period. Further and assuming 2 semesters, 50% of the annual tuition would be paid at the beginning of each semester, i.e., $1,750 for each semester.

As a co-op program, the candidate will be paid a competitive, hourly wage, plus increases based on earning Michigan State Certifications. This hourly wage will be determined at the point the candidate is accepted into the program.
 
Serra Honda will designate a mentor and further compensate this individual for their time and commitment to this candidate and the program.
